2006 Jayco vent leak

Small high plastic air vent in side wall  above couch leaks in heavy rain. Water pours down the wall on to the curtain pelmet!

I have tightened the screw and put more sealant aroung the outside. Thought that had fixed it but heavy rain last night and once again a pile of wet towels to deal with this morning.

Is it possible the rain is blowing in through the vent grills - didnt sound like any wind last night.

gee, we had exactly the same problem this week - but not 100% sure its the vent so have decided to tape it up from the outside next rain to be sure before pulling it out to re-seal. As its very close to the ceiling am wondering if its creeping in from where the roof joins the side wall and just exiting through the vent.

my thoughts also. Have spotted a Jayco with a stainless steel cover over the vent - home made but stopped the problem I am told. Sticks out at the bottom so air can still circulate.
