The small town of Boomi our favourite then Moree at the Gwyder caravan park, with reservations because of the crowds and the tiny space allocated on many of the van sites, would not stay at this park except for the artesian pools. Moree now has renovated their public pools, but have not been there since the new pool complex has been opened.
Cheers
David

There is also a free camp at Mungandi and I heard the bore bath pool opened last year.

In terms of hotness the pool at Lightning Ridge is hottest although the one at Boomi was so hot last year when there couldn't get in until it was cooled down.

The pools at Boomi and Moree have a chlorine substance added so the other pools would be my choice to visit.

Lightning Ridge is a great spot two baths one deeper, one shallow, all concreted surrounds, very clean with toilet shower area behind and all FREE. Be careful they were quite warm when we were last there and a lady had a bit of a turn, step in gradually, I suggest. Ambulance said it was quite common and fortunately they are just down the road. Lightning Ridge great spot to visit a lot to do, mine tours & Kangaroo Hill is a must. Crocodile Caravan Park near Information Centre was a great stay for us, though there is a new caravan park down closer to the pools.
