I think this is called " Stairway to the Moon" when you see this at Broome, which is also spectacular.

G'day (again) Lance.

Great piccies. What's the caravan park like? I hope to be there in a couple of weeks.

Cheers, Tony

 Hi Wendycarlene

Almost, but not quite.

The stairCASE to the moon in Broome is when the moon rises over the low tide, and I mean low!!  The mudflats are exposed and the ridges in the mud flats cause the low tide water to look like steps (or a stairway) it happens three time per month between April - September and lasts, in reality, for about five minutes.  The missus is a keen photographer and we go there each month to see if we can get a better shot!!  I actually enjoy the evening out as it's beer O'clock for me, it's like being a golf widow, but only a photography widown!!  (if you understand what I mean)
It is very pretty though and huge crowds gather.  Anyway SWMBO has let me have a piccie to at, hope this explains what I am trying to say.
Lovely photographs though, you cannot beat a sunset wherever it is taken.

Mark

Very nice series of pictures. We also enjoyed the Certvanes area.

You must really be enjoying yourself and the days have got ahead of themselves. Friday was actually the 21st of June.

Enjoy your trip!!

Like the pictures! We also saw the sunset just up the road at Jurien Bay a couple of days ago. Lovely Park also with a Café out the front looking over the beach area and huge playground for kids and jetty.

Hi Tony

We've been down to Cervantes and checked out the caravan park, but really prefer the park and township at Jurien Bay. Definitely my pick of the two. This is the beach area in the photo.

Not so far away from home ......  These snaps are taken at Amity Point CP on Stradbroke Island looking back towards Brisbane.
