hot water is not getting hot

hi all in our starcraft it seems we cant get our hot water hot 

we have had it checked but they said it was all right but when you shower we have it on full turn and it is only warm i can run my hand under the sink tap 

is this normal or what can we do about it

also with all this trouble in the hospital in brisbane with there hot water is it safe as they say if you lower the temp of hot water it does not kill bactiria 

is this true

Check that the tempering valve is working correctly

Had the same problem and turned the tempering valve up and now have plenty hot water

Check near the hot water service it self Margaret, there just might be a temp setting there. Also if you pop your question into "Techies Corner" there may be some experience there that can help you.

Somewhere undermeath the van there will be a tempering valve.

It has 2 inlets one hot water and the other cold the outlet goes to your shower.

Unscrew the cap (sometimes you need a spcl spanner) and turn the temp up and you will get hot water at the shower.
