well we tookon board all your info re driving from tamworth to coffs/port maquaire
so we left tamworth heading for amidale withthe intention of driving to coffs but when we saw that it was only 10 klm differance to
to grafton and then to yamba which was where we were we wanted to go anyway thats what we did
well if you have not guessed it yet we found we where on the graften road which has so many hills and twists and turns for about 150plus klm that at times we thought we would never get there
well what was intreasting was our fuel consumption believe it or not we had better fuel consumption going up and down dale then we would have had driving along the highway
we actuly saved on fuel and got great milage and the drive was even though a bit hairy at times very nice even though we at times where doing about 30 40 klm an hour so all up even after all that it may have taken us a senic very hilly drive our fuel consumption was excelant and would we do it again why not
That sounds great Margaret, interesting about the fuel too. Keep up the good travels.
I get much the same economy with my gas/petrol Prado on it's own or fully loaded in the back and with the Avan and it's approx 950kg. POOR ECONOMY, about 17-19lts per 100km.
