July 1st.... Not many sleeps to go

With a few stars in our eyes & lots of bitten fingernails we will leave Townsville on our journey.Came a bit early than our bio

reads but with Michael being laid off due to the local labour downturn we have decided to start our adventure early. The van is

almost packed got our UHF radio fitted now I just need to learn how to use it. I am sure after listening to the talk while on the

road I too will be able to swear.....opps....LOL.  I mean conversate on it as well. We will go south staying at Home Hill comfort

stop #47 for the first night as we will be buggered after a couple of day furniture storing and unit cleaning. From there who

knows, we will be looking for work and will stop where ever when ever needed.  Thanks to Dougwe we will no doubt be looking

out for a certain "gypsy" & being carefully not to be dazzled by all the wombat holes. Looking forward to hopefully seeing and

meeting you all in the big playground.

Cheers

Jules, we went around the "wrong way".
We are travelling south against the tide through NQ & currently CQ.
We have never had to book a C/P.

Carry1, don't believe all the horror stories.
Most are like fishing stories, a bit exaggerated!
Use your noggin & find out for yourself.
Wait until you see WA....Wow!
We can't wait to get back there.
Safe travels.

We will be back in Brisbane after 12 months going around.
Fuel up & kick the tyres & we will be off again!

Hi leevin, Thanks for your encouragement ,yes we are going against the trend but hey like you say a CP and free camp won't be to hard to fit into. Work might also a bit more available, plus I am looking forward to the cold living in FNQ it is always bloody HOT !!!.
We will take our time going around the big island and yes we are both looking forward to seeing WA

Cheers
