Weather forecasting

This seems like a good site for weather forecasts and half-hourly (?) updates:

I agree dorian, I have been using Weatherzone for a few years now and find it reasonably accurate. You can pay a subscription and get all sorts of info but I don't bother, yet anyway.

I've bookmarked it ... thanks Dorian

This is the one that I often use, mainly because of the wind (& wave) forecast.  Good for kayaking.

I use Elders weather only because it was the site the farmers used. I think it all originates with BOM (Bureau of Meterology).

biggrin  Is that because you are an elder biggrin

Who said that?

Wombat did after Dazren told him to. I'm sure  Bohemian Gypsy was in that mix too.

I  have a look at weatherzone for particular towns when we are travelling. This site is great for watching the rain radars...

This is a coastal wind forecast site that I use very often. It was set up originally for windsurfers but as a fisherman I find it extremely useful and very accurate

I use Weatherzone and have the app on my Galaxy phone as well. Like Elders and many other weather sites the data is sourced from the BOM. BOM and the weather sites that source their data from BOM have a much higher rate of accuracy than they're given credit for, given the extremely complex nature of the science of meteorology.

BTW, there's a joke in there somewhere.

Talking about jokes ....  did you pick up the one in the symbol legends in the weather site that I posted ..

BrownArrow2.gif
Smelly Shorts Wind
35+ knots

I reckon that 35+ knot winds would have that effect on a sailor ...  note also the color chosen for the arrow.
