In the showgrounds in Kalbar, SE QLD ($18pn or $90 pw)- hoping to leave on Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest - for a few weeks! Sunshine, light breeze, cool nights.

Hi everyone,

We are at Burra showgrounds S.A. - $15 @ night with power and water, some uneven ground but that's ok, few here tonight though, been staying at Moorook S.A. not that far away very nice for those who have been there before,  it now has a dump point, I don't know if there is an award but we were the first to use it. So staying here after a month on solar and generator is great living. Don't know when we will leave but apparently there is a very cold and wet front coming up as far as Alice Springs which is having the wettest May yet? Ok people be careful out there, have fun and enjoy take care.

Great town tour - get the key from the info centre and the self drive booklet. Loved that place. Great happy hours in the shed.

No happy hours when we were there last year at this time - just far too cold. We all bunkered down in our caravans to keep warm.

I'm interested that you go to Denpasar to have dental work done!

Yes much cheaper over here when extensive caps or bridging needs doing. A friend of ours recommended it. Not for the faint hearted, they you can be in the chair for up to 9 hours!

Very clean, professional. Dentists are trained in America or UK.

We're at Surat - south west Qld - beautiful blue sky, can't see a cloud! good free camp beside the Balonne River, big site, flushing toilets, few minutes walk to the village.

Nights are very cool & if there's a breeze during the day it's very lazy, but gee, the water is great lol.  Hopefully at either Burren Junction or Pilliga bore baths tomorrow.  Life is so hard on the road lol.

We're at the rest area at Moore, Qld (west of Kilcoy). Been here a few days but will move on soon to near Dayboro where we will do a house/dog sit for 4 weeks.

Same here Red Dog... sitting here reading all the GN answers and what a great time they're having. The difference though is I'm not dreaming of where I will go next... I'm dreaming of where I will go FIRST.

Boyne River, Qld - couple of hundred kms north of Bundy. Beautiful day around 25 but pretty cold at night - I had to put on a jumper yesterday evening and this morning.

I loved Burra too - makesure you walk all the way up the hill to see the old mine. Surat was a fabulous stop too when I was last there - a couple of years ago - might even pass by there again later this year (on my way south - right now I'm heading north).

Boomi, NSW at the Artesian Pools, $10 unpowered, $18 powered, flushing toilets, hot showers, 39 degree bore bath for $5 / person /day. Previously at Nindigully Pub, free, toilets/hot showers, Surat (magic free camp, flushing toilets, firewood provided, free hot showers in town), Chinchilla Weir, free, flushing toilets, Paradise Dam, $16 / night, beautiful views but bugger all else (will never return). All in the last nine days on our way south to attend an appointment (look out for the cloud of dust heading north after it)

Thank you. It's either gastro or food poisoning. I've had it all last night since 6pm, but my blood sugar dropped drastically too, so I was in bad shape. Thank heavens Les and my daughter were here to look after me. I thought I'd end up in the hospital, but luckily I am now just feeling exhausted, so now I'm resting.
