Hi, I'm currently at the Poona Palms Caravan Park but had a car run up the back of me yesterday before I left Gympie and the car repairer I will be going to is in Maryborough. Had the assessment done today and just waiting for the NRMA to give the go ahead and parts will be ordered etc. So not sure how long I will be around this way, maybe a week or more. Any suggestions on where to stay? One caravan park I went to in Maryborough had one site but only for a couple of days so that didn't help.
Hi Chris I was having problems adding to the copy/pasted in the last post. There is or was camping at the showground but seems to have a 48 hr limit. I'm sure others will have more knowledge. Wikicamps phone app might have some information or Camps 7 or 6.
My thinking has been along the lines of when I get a date to take the car in I would relocate the camper ?to Maryborough somewhere or maybe Hervey Bay area, then take the car in and get the hire car and then stay wherever I left the camper for the duration while the car was being fixed. Any suggestions on good places to stay in Hervey Bay?
Am planning on booking into the Wallace CP in Maryborough on Sunday. Have pm'd you my mobile no. Would love to meet up with you both and get some local knowledge on what to see and do etc. Chris
I am at the Wallace CP and the car went in today to be fixed and I now have a hire car. Am looking at moving on probably next Wednesday and will go to Bundaberg to catch up with an old friend for a couple of days ten hit the road again. Not sure where though. All suggestions welcome.
