Just arrived home after a quickie 6 dayer . We left Brisbane , drove out to Kilkivan then onto Ban Ban Springs ( not nice) then on to Eidsvold ( lovely little town ) , had a look at Claude Wharton Weir ( nothing but a backpackers bedroom and really dirty ) . We travelled on to Ceratodus Rest Area and what a lovely spot . It is close to the highway but was still very peaceful with clean flushing toilets and water ( 455 Camps 6 ) Next day we changed course and headed for Mundubbera where we stopped for morning tea . We then travelled to Archers Crossing for the night ( 632 Camps 6) It also was quite OK although no toilets or water due to flood damage . From there we travelled to Yarramalong Weir and thats where we stayed until yesterday . Rockylizard ( John ) wasn't wrong with his post abt this place , it was fantastic , very clean grounds and toilets , council even use bin liners for the bins and out every day to clean up. Thats abt it for the trip except for the drama just before the Range coming home . Driving through Toowoomba the Tribute lost gears . After much swearing and 3 hrs later it was fixed and we made it down the range and home safely Cheers
Places like Ban Ban Spring are just an free overnight camp not some where stay for long time , We have stop there for lunch stop and would stay there for over night , we dont need to much has we spend the time inside the caravan
