Map of Australia----Interactive.

This is a handy map, courtesy of the NRMA.

Shows most of the main roads in Autralia and is fast.

Did the index work as it should, I think it needs to be saved, needs Adobe Acrobat to open and make it interactive.

yes mate, saved it and works OK on the puta. I hope it'll work on the Android tablet just as well. It's good being able to select the highway and then instantly showing it on the map.

If you save the pdf to your computer you can transfer it to any other computer or mobile device for viewing offline. In a lot of cases it will work faster too.

I very much doubt the NRMA are in the business of publishing maps of the United states.

Try a Google search, you may come up with something.

Just had a quick look at the map of Qld and it does not show the road between Bundaberg and Gin Gin. Now that makes me wonder how accurate the rest of the map is. ???

I think it's an excellent map. You can't expect every little track to be shown on a map of this scale. I've saved it on my trusty laptop and I'm sure it will get a lot of use. Thank you..

I don't believe you could class it as a "little track".  It is just as important a road as the one from Childers to Bundaberg which is shown on the map.  Both Childers and Gin Gin provide major access routes from the Bruce Hwy into Bundaberg, one when coming form the South and the other from the North.

Perhaps I should have made my point clearer. I wasn't referring to the Bundaberg/Gin Gin road, my comment was a general one...

 Hi Buffy

Briefly this is how to save this interactive map

Download attachement to your computer

Once downloaded, click on save symbol at the top of PDF

Choose save to Desktop

Now locate saved file on desktop "Right Click and in drop down window select "Send To" and choose  a USB drive that you have plugged into a USB port on your machine. You can also now 'Double Click this file anytime and open this map on your computer

Once you have done this you can then transfer it to any other machine that you may have.

Please PM me if you would like to know how to do the above and I can explain it in much finer detail, I have assumed that you have a fair understanding how to use your computer, but we are all learners when it comes to computers unless you are 10 years old and then you are an expert and are then able to run rings around Granparents

Thanks for that....it was even easier.... I just logged onto this site on my ipad. Clicked the link and when it opened it had an option to open it in my 'Kindle' which I did. I now have it saved in my kindle for anytime i want to look at it!! Cheers :)

Thanks for the link, Santa. It's a great map to use, and so easy! I like the idea of copying it to a USB stick too...

I've been searching for something like this for ages, then late last week (just by chance) afriend sent me a link to this.biggrin
