Maybe you could sit it on the front dashboard or on the rear shelf in the car whilst driving. Whichever spot is getting the sun.

Great idea, out of the wind and even in winter most dashboards or rear shelfs can get pretty hot if there's some sun around.

If parked up and not raining on the bonnet of the car may work too, but you would have the cooling wind factor.

I went back to hot water bottles when don't have 240 power , and now prefer them, they stay hotter for longer too.

Yep, $2 in those cheap shops. Knit yourself as little cover for it.

Hmm, I give the dash a try, thanks

I carry a hot water bottle in the van and didn't think of using it instead of the heat bag. Good thinking.
