Installing an Inside Shower in an Old Van

Hi to all,

My sister has bought an old van with the intention of doing it up enough so that she and her two kids can live in it on the block while their house is built.  She needs to put in a shower (and various other things) without spending too much - outside of a base with a curtain around it, can anyone suggest the best way to do it.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

I would suggest that you tell your Sister to have a look at the Classic Caravan Web Site,

The Guys & Gals over there have done all sorts of things with older caravans,

There is a bundle of handy info available and by asking the question there, someone is bound to help her out.

I would sugest building a small amenties block,10 foot by 10 foot, will fit the toilet, shower, sink and washing machine. Keep the van for sleeping

I agree with Blaze.Depending on the size of the van and as to whether it is only ever going to be an on site van or a tourer, I would put up a garden shed and set that up as the wet area. Leaves the space in the van for other things.
