My husband Les, used to be a Chauffeur driver for people here and overseas. He was always asked for by name...why? Because he is what They and I consider a True Blue Aussie, he calls everyone mate, talks till the cows comes home, has a very distinct Aussie accent. People loved him as he was what they called an Aussie Bloke.

I think it's lost, closer to the cities, but I still see it the further you get away from the big towns and cities.
