Well ... Wrong again ... happening a lot these days. Should have looked before I shot my mouth off.
As a test, I just posted a new thread on the "Hints , Tips & Great Ideas" Sub Forum and guess what, it does exactly what I wanted & what Herbie suggested. When I get a few moments I will add to it to make it more useful.
Might even post a few more to hopefully start a trend.
If I had taken the time to look at Cindy's instructions I would have seen this - It's what we were aiming at.
Hi all, Weve collected a huge amount of hints, tips and great ideas from members since the hints, tips and great ideas thread started approximately 18 months ago. Its a great resource but it has become quite difficult to navigate and several members have suggested breaking it up by topic. I will work on separating the current thread over the next week or so into many smaller threads with topic headings ... but in the meantime, if anyone has something theyd like to contribute, please create a new post for each new idea and try to title it so people will get the gist of the tip before they read more (for example, if you title your post Talcum powder mixture for ant control instead of This really works people will be able to find what they are looking for when they search or scroll down the page. Thanks again for all contributions ... its a fantastic resource for both newbies and experienced travellers alike!

Thanks everyone, for your input on this. Separating this very useful string into different topics has been suggested before ... apologies for taking so long to get onto it. I have now created a new 'Hints, Tips and Great Ideas' subsection of the forum, it's just under the 'I digress' section. The old sticky is still there and I plan to separate it into many different posts with new headings over the next week or so. In the meantime, please create a new post for each new idea and try to give it a relevant title so people will be able to get the gist of what you are posting about and the 'search' function will be able to find it in the future.
I suggested this a long ,long time ago. It was impossibile to search a topic because it was one looooong topic,The idear must have been to hard as no one changed their ways.
