What a shame - it is a beautiful area - have the campgrounds been burnt as well?

Its hard to imagine, but the bush truly will regenerate.
I feel for the farmers though, glad to hear Blazaid are doing their thing. Goodonya Blazaid volunteers!

What a shame - stayed at the one with the big toilet block several years ago - met up with the oddest couple ever - had a humungous bus, but we couldn't work out if they were male or female - both had long hair and wore dresses, but one of them had a full beard, and spoke like a man - both were very grubby - food stains all over their clothes - they travelled full time, following music festivals!!

But nature will prevail, and it will all come back, hopefully the campgrounds come back as good as or even better than before!

Yes, at least our Australian country side does re-generate after a bushfire. Our best wishes to all those in the Coonabarabran area.

As you say our our bush re-generates remarkably quick after a bush fire, just have to see how the area around where the fires were in Vic a few years back .It takes the people a whole lot longer to get over, if ever !!!

Whereas places that grow pine trees never recover. My brother once bought a block of land a lot cheaper because the pine forest on it had burnt down.

i think it is in areas where our own natural bush is .,, the heat from the fires kind of incubate the seeds ..bit like putting chook eggs into a incubator to hatch.
