Just read in c/ van news that a brand new c/ van was taken out of some persons drive way in a suburb in Adelaide .He had it wheel locked ,and they cut them off and towed it away. Also Brissy c/ van show will not be allowd to be open on the sunday , this year due to sunday trading. The issue was brought about by near by c/ van business., missing out on trade.
Just a follow up on Sunday trading....we were at the Nambour Caravan and Camping show yesterday and it was first advertised as being on Fri, Sat and Sunday and now they have announced that the show will only be on Fri and Sat thanks to the State Govt. What they mean I don't know but the show will not be on Sunday.
The previous state government was changing Queens birthday to October , But when the new government won the election they over turn that decision and left the Queens birthday in june . If you google Queensland Public holidays 2013 you will see the queens birthday listed has june the 10 th.
Herbie, I totally agree. Its like saving up all year to take the kids to the Royal Show....and we don't even have kids to take to these caravan shows. Its not fair, if they want people to come they need to cater more for the people who mostly buy these vans...us and lower income earners, with some higher income earners who buy the luxury vans.
We just want a reasonable entrance fee, not tickets to board a plane interstate.
Hi all, Two caravans shows may have been confused here. The one that won't trade on Sunday is the Nambour Caravan Show which is on this weekend. if you wish to attend this one you had better get cracking. Best wishes. KenK

You only have to mention any thing to do with Rvs and the cash register starts rolling over in big bucks...Thank heavens a lot of the bits and pieces one needs to a repair or a modification or what ever , we can pick the gear up from Bunnings or some other shop. If we just had these c/ van businesses to buy the ( what ever) from we would not be able to keep our rigs on the road. I needed a part a little while back from the c/ van shop they wanted $190 i got the same thing from a plumbing place ( Reeces)for $39.
I agree about having to pay these rip off prices to get into their own business industry expo/show and then buying the item/ ..cheaper in the end just to do a google serch or go straight to where ever and buy it.
Because i and my wife would be in the $18 each entry fee and then $12 parking .And the other thing i recon is the the food and drinks prices are just over the top .And who wants to lug food and drink around ,while there. So for the two of us it would be nearer to $100.
If someone is thinking of buying their first RV which ever type it is money well spent to have some many types of RV in the one spot to compare , If your were going to spend up to $100000 What $100 to make sure you get it right .
