Cindy's article about a very fancy new dunny in the Alpine National Park reminded me about how we "rate" public loos out of 10. That new dunny might get 10 out of 10, we give points for original design, cleanlines, comfort and functionality, toilet paper supplied, convenience to camp-spot, and take some off for bad smells, muddy floors etc.
One of our better ones would be at Glenreagh showground (although terrible, scary showers!), and one of the worst in Washpool NP NSW.
Does anybody else "rate" public dunnies? Whats been your best and worst?
The first time I brought Les and family to Laura SA, they had a locust plague, the kids refused to use the toilets in the Main Street because of the locusts... they are always lovely and clean, but locusts don't appeal to everyone.
One of the best views from a loo, would have to be in the Warrumbungles - NSW - the little wooden ones, sit with the door open and watch the sun come up over the Breadknife - sprung a bloke with his pants round his ankles doing just that!!!!!!!

Once owned an apartment the gold coast and the bathroom, including loo, looked up the coast to Brisbane and on a clear day possibly Townsville. Spent many hours looking out the picture window, better view from the loo than the lounge room
