We wrote the report on the Boggabri Caravan Park in the above link to Badgers site back in late 2009.

Great town, and we enjoyed our stay there at the only Caravan Park.
It was certainly not called the Big Sky Caravan Park, which I think is in Narrabri.

Boggabri really comes to life late April when they have their Drovers Campfire Weekend at the Showgrounds. Camping is permitted at the Showgrounds during that event which by all accounts that I have seen it is a great weekend.

Yes, Big Sky is the name of one of the caravan parks in Narrabri, I've stayed there a few times but haven't stayed at Boggabri. The Drovers Campfire is run by the local (Boggabri) Lions club and, I believe, has been very successful for them.

A good campsite in that area is Yarrie Lake . 26km. from Narrabri on the Weewaa road .

Was $15 pn for 2 people with power , showers , toilets and good water when we were there last yeat .

good big lake with plenty of yabbies .

Just checked out my notes re c/ van park and yes The Big Sky is in Narrabri, the one in Boggabri is a council run park, I got the towns mixed up.Have heard that a lot of permanents live in the Boggabri park.We only stayed in Big Sky one night as was passing through.
