Greatest meet up in GN history

Aah Michelle, beware of Doug, he is a strict vegitarian eats like a rabbit, least that was what he told us a week ago, just after the strictly vegitarian scones and pav of course.

He did also mention something about doing multiple laps of Greens Lake to make up for the pav.

Strange I did not know you could drive right round.

Yep, there was a meet up in Inverell NSW today. Who I hear you asking, well, Bohemian Gypsy, Michelle, Mr BG, Ray and Dougwe, me, met for the first time, that has to be history in the making and I tell you that for free.

What a meet up it was too. I put Inverell on my list of places to stay just to meet Michelle and Ray and it was worth every KM I travelled to get here. I felt like I knew these people all my life. I have been invited to their place for lunch tomorrow and Michelle mentioned something about wombat stew, yum. Now Wombat stew is best cooked very slowly as the meat of the wombat can be very tuff and full of grissle if not.

I am looking forward to tomorrow.

CC...The other end is the tuff end and I won't eat that either.

GK....No mate as wombat stew is much too thick for Jaffles cos wombats a naturally thick. Best cooked as I described. Michelle will know how to cook it.

It is good to hear, you have put a lot of thought and planning into your trips, and noe you are reaping the rewards, I knew that meet-up with Mr and Mrs BG, would be good, as I am a very perceptive person, and could tell that they are genuine people, and I look forward to meeting up with them myself in the near future, [ Let me know about her cooking ok ?? ]

However it is a shame ? that she invited you for a SUNDAY lunch !!As you see Michelle is a practising '' Greenie'' !! and on Sundays they only eat Lettuce and un-cooked vegtables So i think she was joking about the ;wombat stew'' ??? Ah well !! you said you wanted to lose weight anyway,

Oh !! and can you stop picking on my mate wombat, I am sick of being the only one on the forum, that is nice to him, I Emailed Womby, To tell him not to feel bad when he reads the comments about Michelle's wombat stew, how ever he had already seen it, And Mrs Wombat emailed me back and said He could not talk to me at the moment ???? as apparently his feelings were hurt so bad, he went straight to his burrow, crawled up into a Foetal' position, and started to blubber in-coherently confuse confuse

So please try and be nice when he he finally emerges ?? You know if we ALL be nice to him at the same time ???????? we may be able to trick him into believing that it is still the 1st of April,

I could tell MR Wombat to toughen up a bit, but by all reports they are already tough enough.

We can't tell him to stand up and be a man as they have to have four feet on the ground or they roll on their back and then they are in trouble.

I am sitting in one of my favorite sites but I seem to have about 15 other vans here from another forum and we are having a ball. Many have been here a week and some are staying for another week yet.

Big day on a steam train today after an afternoon yesterday touring abandoned gold and slate mines and also stopped at a bush rangers house. Shame it was not maintained and is falling down.

Oma is here as well so I could say I have met one more Grey Nomad.

May you travels continue and we will meet again somewhere.

WOMMY mate you might just have to get over it and get back in and get on with live in this great world.

Hmmm, Doug did I see the word snickers in the postings. I guess they could become part of a smoothie, have all the food groups in them. Sounds like you are having a ball. keep on going and staying safe.

I wonder if snickers can be deep fried like mars bars, if so it would have oil as well then it would omega 3 too, lots of vits and mins. Good one Sharon you deserve a hug for dringing that to my attention.

Just you all wait, next time you see me there will be less of me and what ever "it" is should be less of that as well.

Hey Dazren,

I will be cooking a hot lunch not lettuce and vegetables with roasted potatoes and pumpkin done in the BBQ and a cauliflower Au Gratin probably done with rump steak I would say.

Both Ray and I cannot wait to meet up with you and Renata as well so we will have to make that happen sooner rather than later hey?

The other person I want to really meet is our fourth member of the Four Muskateers and that is Wombie and his wife. But what would be wonderful is if we could all meet up together imagine the stirring and shinnanigans we could get up to then biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

Hey, I don't snicker. I reckon the Snickers containing the food groups mentioned sounds better but as I am not naughty I will not have one.

Michelle and Ray excelled themselves today with a lovely BBQ lunch, thanks heaps and heaps Michelle and Ray.

I tell you what, if I made 2 lists and put all the nice people I have met from this great Forum on 1 and put all the not so great people I have met on the other, the 2nd one would be very lonely indeed as there would be no one on it. Thanks Cindy and team for a great Forum.

Hey Sharon,

There was lots of snickering but then again there was much more outright laughter. We have had such a wonderful time with Doug and we hope to stay in contact with him. He is great company.

So glad you had the meet up with some great people - and are enjoying your journey north - we too are enjoying our journey, currently in Eden NSW for 10 days - then northward bound!!!!

Talking of meet ups - it was a great 9 days at Greens, meeting lots of people for the first time, and catching up with others. Good to meet you Doug - hope you are still on the straight and "narrow"?????
