Albury to Tumut via the Hume Highway

According to camps 6 theres only roadside rest stops along that road which would be very noisy, theres a zillion trucks use the Hume overnight. We've travelled that highway often,  never found anything worth stopping for more than a cuppa, and used to drive through to Gundagai or all the way to Canberra,( where we used to live).

Will be interested to hear about any spots recommended by others that we missed.

I don't know if these few spots will be of any help, we have stayed in Gunning,,near swimming pool and near the creek has toilets/undercover eating area and hot showers.

another place was called Mullengandra i think.

the reserve on Murray River at Jingelllic  45 s/w of Tumbarumba

Mannus Lake area 4k west Tumbarumba gas and electric BBQ

the other one was off the highway but a great spot is Jugiong between Gundagi and Yass.
