G'day I to like it as it says it all in what is going wrong in our great country, very neat with the pics certainly highlights the problems of the poor farmers who have to endure a land of Flooding rains, scorching droughts, raging fires and politicians who just don't give a damn.
G'day again, I was having a quite reflective moment a week or so ago and memories of personnel losses of my kids and other family members whilst admiring the roses I planted after each loss and I penned the below poem.
Memories Of Loved Ones Past
By
Kevin L Fairbrother
Memories of loved ones past
Liken to flowers that bloom in spring
With but one exception, I dare to say
The flowering blooms, provide an amazing display
That brightens our day and build our hopes at work or play
We think about the good times, the memories of loved ones past
And cherish those precious moments, of times gone bye.
Unlike our loved ones who will not return,
To lift us from the pain and hurt
The flowers will return each spring, to once again
remind us, that life is precious and the past does hurt
By day we live and breathe what each new day brings
The hustle, the bustle at home, at work and play
Dims memories as time goes so fast, until the day turns into night
The family gathers and time slows down, its a time to reflect
The quite times brings memories flooding back, of loved ones past
When you go to bed and try to sleep, those racing thoughts of life
Of each day past, will be but a dream as you drift to sleep
You dream about the beauty that beholds this earth, and
You remember to remind yourself, to smell the roses and look at the flower display each day, to remind you of loved ones past
