Try the camp just near the ferry at Swan Reach. Great place right on the river. Also a good one at Walker Flat about 100m from the general store. ( not the kiosk at ferry)

This bit of info may help you even though it is not exactley where you are heading to, but still in close proximity to where you will be heading. When we over that way we camped at Mannum, which is 30k north on Murray Bridge. We camped at Bolto Reserve, two cabble ferries run out of Mannum's Arnold Park, providing a safe FREE passage over the Murray to the camp spot. This camp is camouflaged by beach houses , Bolto is accessed by turning right immedediately after the vehicle crossing. Beautiful views of house boats cruising the waters.A limited number of smallbeaches bteak up the reeds that line the river at the reserve. When we were there camping was permitted on both sides of river, but the more selected section is behinde the Willows across the river , towards the river shack settlement of Caurnamont.Beaut meals at the Swan Reach Hotel.it is 40 k away ,just ask anyone how to get to it and they will gladly tell you.The hotel is the old station's homestead which happens to look over another beaut FREE camp spot called Tenbury - Hunter Reserve  .These two places are on my to go back to list and once i have been to a particular place i try not to re track ,as if one keeps doing that they never see the of what this land has to offer. But these two beauties will be revisitered.

Regards Herbie

At Berri, look for Martins Bend Free Camp. On the river, operated by Council. Register with Caretaker on entry. Toilets, showers, Dump Point, drinking water close by.
