History of Paper Tissues and Toilet Paper

In my way of thinking, the invention of paper tissues with it's many uses is one of the greatest inventions ever. Interesting that the Japanese had been using similar tissue for centuries beforehand, also that the US Kleenex tissue was an offshoot from Kotex products.

See these links on tissues;

Toilet Paper History is a fascinating one, those "sticks" look like they could be quite painful if used incorrectly, see;

I agree Vic, tissues are the best thing ever invented. As a lifelong sufferer of Hayfever and Rhinitis, tissues go everywhere with me. A pocket pack in my handbag, a small box in the car within easy reach, and a box in every room in my little granny flat. And bins everywhere too naturally!

I saw that video on facebook. Very funny. smile

Not to mention their use with fun and games too Beth, among other things....wink no

I remember a large park I jogged through early in the morning that allowed parking overnight, the roads and parking bays were littered with tissues from overnight parkers....no

And of course we have all seen the mess ("bush confetti") that some leave in and around overnight and day rest stops, either toilet paper or tissues.....furious
