howdy all, has anyone had or bought a online deal for a sat/tv dish & fittings thru camper deals/supplied via itech world in W.A.???. the deal price was cheap enough but on opening the sat/tv dish bag, the sat finder was there , the fly cord was there the 20 metre coax cable was there, compass was there and according to the info on the deal via email from Camper deals that was all that was needed. Hmmmm one thing missing, the bloody digital set top decoder box. nothing mentioned about this had to be purchased extra. Sucked in big time. end up bying a set top box froma local supplier, then commenced to connect everything up. the compass supplied was a bag of crap. the cables etc was faulty had kinks in them & was unsuitable for trying to get signal to tv via set top box. Ended up getting a local tv/digital guy to come and try his luck. had to by new cables & accessories. will be forwarding my complaints to both of the above i.e. Camper Deal/Itech world. Have heard from other nomads who have bought the same deal and yessem boss, same bloody problems. Would not recommend this people if it was the last thing on earth.
Yes this company is an embarrassment to the Sat industry in WA.....originally made money selling mod chips for Playstations so they could use pirate software. Look at their "instructional" videos on youtube, spent their profits on big flash cars and technically have no idea, but make their money selling chinese crap with huge profit margins.
Jealous....No. Just sad to see people being ripped off. They advertise a lot.

Can you tell me if these crooks only sell via internet or do they have a outlet in WA ,as when we were over in WA we were looking for a sat set up and went into a shop looking, but did not purchase as they all looked dodgy who were working there.

Regards Herbie
They have a shop on Great Eastern Highway, just past the casino in Rivervale, a couple of minutes from the CBD on the way to the airport...

Its strange you mention that ,Ibought mine complete from itech world ROCKINGHAM WA and i was living in BARCALDINE QLD,they sent the lot via snail mail and all arrived safe and well in 5 days , i had no problems with above mentioned ROD
I bought my Sat system from this mob just before xmas. Mine did at least come with the set top box but had to replace the coax and a lot of messing around till I finally got it all working, Must admit tho since then has performed very well. Only good bit about it is the dish folds quite small and is easy to store, their after sales assistance is not even good enough to be called a joke!
We reciently purchase the special complete upgrade unit advertised in C&M. opened it no problems all cables fine and disk and decoder and finders all work great. guess you can be luck sometime???

DP itech world have for the past few months been advertising in the WA tv guide the sat stuff for $699 WITHOUT The decoder, their price this week is $199 without the decoder, still expensive for what you get would be cheaper to buy each item you need seperatly.
there is also the new Humax decoder coming out this month with a twin hard drive recorder for about $600 decoder with HD only.
