I tacked a comment on the end of a motorhome insurance thread started in 2010 but it seems to have vanished... so I'll start a new one.I went to NRMA insurance online to check out a quote on comprehensive insurance for a motorhome and contents, but could only find policies for cars, caravans and trailers. Nothing about motorhomes. Does anyone with a motorhome (as distinct from tugs and trailers) have a policy with NRMA or other insurance provider?
I insure my Coaster motorhome with NMRA, I have an agreed value. It's isured fully comp for 23,000, the premium this year renewed Feb 13th is $411.00. I have a $500 excess.

Garry i thought this maybe of some help to your request, i was just looking through a mag and there was a section on c/ van insurance prices. The quotes were based on a 21ft Jayco Sterling dual axle valued with $10.000 worth ofcontents.
the strange wording that was used i will quote to you from the mag....Even in events that are generally covered
there are exceptions .Anex damage if the storm is a named cyclone....so all hope if we are ever in a situation like that they don't damn name the cyclone. Only insurance companies could get away with that .Ijust was thinking if that applies to all vehicles.
Thanks for the replies, fellow GNs. Johnnz sounds cool... $411 for $23,000. Mine's probably worth half that. I'm a member of NRMA with roadside assistance, Greenslip and comprehensive on the truck (currently without the camper) with discounts for loyalty etc, so I'd rather stick with them. Last time I had a claim was 1973! I hate paying insurance but I think I'd hate it even more if I didn't and something happened. As Winston Churchill said, "That is something up with which we must put."
