I am looking for an VASS Engineer to certify my bus conversion,

I just got quoted $2000-00 to write out a piece of paper, They dont have to do anything to my bus as it has all been done to Aussie ADR's, just check it out so I can get a roadworthy and registration,

2 Grand I think is a bit steep, Any one out there have a place I can take it too thats a bit more reasonable, Its not a shonky conversion,

I reckon you will be lucky to get a better price than $2,000.
State Government approvals departments will have lists of engineers who are permitted to do this work, but you give us no clue as to where you are.

It's all the unexpected costs that add up. It's bad enough conforming to different states  let alone another country.

Engineers are professionaly qualified people not just tradesmen. Their fees will be a few hundred dollars per hour. If they are checking the vehicle properly it will an hour or two to check it properly. On top of that there will be office time you don't see recording things and checking up on the ADRs. Then there is the killer of all industry, liability insurance. You can't really expect them to to do the job for peanuts.

Sorry. I am in Victoria,

A full roadworthy for my bus is $330-00 and takes 3 hours,

The work was done by a mechanic who is a registered dealer in California and Queensland, so does know what is required and needed to meet Austalian ADR's. he does it all the time, Mine isnt the first one he has converted.
He is a professional, and my Bus conversion looks really great,

I didnt expect to pay peanuts, But I dont expect to get ripped off either,

I am a Tradesman and an Engineer also, So I do know what I am looking at,
