hi to fellow nomads , as a newbie do anyone know of a nice free camp beside a river or dam that they would recommend from about warick down to Glen Innes . I am travelling down through that way on tuesday the 29th jan and like to stay for 1-2 days before continueing on any suggestion would be of great help thanks seano
This may not be your answer, Seano, but if you don't mind taking a route off the norm (via Stanthorpe), for an extra 150 or so Klms, you could go via Texas; a neat friendly little town, with beaut campground a couple of k's out, by/on the banks of the Dumaresque River.
At the moment though, you had better query the river's flood status with the current major rain about.
Beardy River, 9km north of Glen Innes. Have driven past it often over the years but not recently so someone may have more recent info. Sorry can't give Camps 6 number as my Camps book is an old edition.
