Perhaps Sheba could also provide some up-to-date info ... but from what they were saying on the ABC Radio news this morning it would appear the Bruce Hwy has been cut south of Rockhampton - not too sure how far south is affected. Weather forecast suggests the heavy rain is progressively heading down the coast to Brisbane - with forecasts of flashflooding etc.
Perhaps you should get a boat or perhaps just stay home or there is always good ole QANTAS/Virgin
Cheers - John

It does state at the moment that the Bruce is closed south of Marlborough and also at Bajool,Mt Morgan Calliope and with the amount of rain heading south from Gladstone over the next few hours it doesn't look good for the Bruce for a while.

My grandkids mother told me yesterday the Apple Tree Creek camping spot just north of Childers is underwater. She said looks like a lake. Also the overhead ramp a bit further north that take you to Bundy was under water and small cars parked on the side of the road there, not able to get to the ramp.
Don't try to go through Biggenden to find an alternative way either. Biggy is completely cut off. Sons back yard is under water as is the famous grey nomad spot next door.
Gin gin creek is flooded. At 6.30 this morning the free camp ground was underwater with the flooding from the creek almost up to the servos just north of town.
Highway looks like it is still closed as no traffic north or south apart from locals.
