Sometimes about this time of night or some times jus in the early mornings Ill be woken up with lots Of flem running down the back of nose down my throat. Il bring up lots of flem, some times takes over hallf an hr before it settles back and I get rid of most of it, I can get all hot and sweaty, then cold again. Its almost like a panic attack , but I don't think it is, doesn't happen very often...but so annoyed at myself when it does, I often winder if I'm keeping the street awake! Darn, I get so annoyed, I just had all my health, heart checks , but no one has any clue on What it is or not,,.. Thank heck for rolls of toilet paper.. Any ideas??

Probably got a blockage or an infection in your sinus passages Milo - I had a head cold few weeks ago, and was left with blocked ears (felt like I was in a wind tunnel), and all the phlegm was running down my throat - doctor gave me some nasal spray which worked a treat, used if for two weeks - no problem now. But get stuff from the doctor, not the chemist, seems to be a stronger formula.

Take care, and don't stress!!

I take it you dont smoke Milo?

Sometimes what you eat can do this to some people... try remembering what you had to eat the night before if you wake up like that. It might be as simple as not eating cheese, and have fruit instead for example.

I trust that you will be getting better but for a health option look for a netti or neti pot. Fill it with warm filtered water and a spoon of the best salt you can afford and wash the nose. Search for this solution or seek a yogi who can help you, there are plenty around the south coast NSW. Done at least daily this will benefit you heaps....

I tried a neti-pot a few years back, allinone, it was much more difficult than it looked! You really need a personal teacher with those things.
So I've solved my phlegm problem by avoiding all dairy products... a big sacrifice as I loved cheese and ice-cream!

Hi Milo - hope you are feeling better - I had to go back to a doctor yesterday, thought I was over my problem with my sinus, then started again yesterday. He has given me a mega dose antibiotic, reckons I have an infection in my sinus and this will clear it - hopefully!!!!
