12 Volt Nebulizer.

Does anyone have a 12 volt Nebulizer ?  Would appreciate any feedback, for or against.  Thank you.

Cheers,

Sheba.

A cheap and easy way out is to use a 12 volt compressor.
You need to ensure that the plastic tube will fit over the
valve connection.Or make it so that it does.
This will work.

That's as clear as mud to me Jeff.  Don't suppose you have a Pic. at all ?  I just don't see how that would work.

Cheers,

Sheba.

If you have a compressor (just the type which will pump up tyres and any cheap one will do) which plugs into the cigarette lighter connection in the dash, connect the compressor to that. You will need tubing which fits the exhaust on the compressor, and which will connect to the bowl of the mask. (Generally the mask piping will suffice.) Turn key to accessories, or start car, and the compressor will release air to the bowl holding the ventolin. We have used it while travelling if the children have needed a mask, or while away at a standing camp. The air flow from the compressor should be sufficient to atomise the ventolin. Let me know if you need more information .. hope this clears the mud :)

Cheers .. Mandi (Jeff's wife)

Will keep that in mind.  How would it be long-term though ?  4 times a day, around 20 mins each time.

It would be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a 12 volt unit.

Cheers,

Sheba.

I'm thinking of when I'm on the road Wombat.  Also, it would be handy to have when we have [ like last week] long periods of time without power.   I have to use it 4 times a day.  Too expensive to hire long-term.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Thanks for that Wombat.  Was going to get more repairs done on the 'van next week, but bought one of these instead.  Looks like a great little unit.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Got the 12 Volt Nebulizer today.  Can't believe how small it is.  And besides running on 240 and 12 V., it has a [fixed] re-chargeable battery as well.

Put it between a Glasses Case and my Mobile for size comparison.

Taking it to show the Dr. tomorrow.
