Re: RV friendly grafton

A little article in our local paper shows our council is not as backward as I thought...in some matters anyway.

That's great, the Grafton area is great and I would love to be able to stay there instead of passing through.

We stayed 4 days at the showground in December as we have family that live there, paid $20 a night thought that was reasonable and also spent a fair bit in the town whilst there, facilities are basic but tidy and all that was needed.

Well done Grafton. Hope Maclean follows suit. Grafton needs a bit of a lift after losing so many jobs recently. My hubby's family come from the mighty Clarence area.

Looks like they might be trying to move on to the 20th century at last.  I lived in Grafton for a couple of years, and it's certainly one of the beautiful parts of the country.  BUT, it was also the most intolerant "okker" place I have ever lived, and that's saying something. Nevertheless, if you're ever in the area try to make it up the Old Grafton-Glen Innes road. Fantastic. and as a bonus there is free camping at Mann River near the other end of the road!
