Yes, our son signed our visitors book with 2012 and his daughter changed it for him. And the old dilemma again - is it 20/13 or is it 2000 and thirteen?

I prefer to say 2000 and 13 but most people say 20/13.

We humans are a weird mob ... we did not say One Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirteen .... so why would we say Two Thousand and Thirteen

And yet I think I heard more 2000 and 12's last year than the other way. I guess it will be the TV that rules our heads. Whatever we hear 'them' saying will become the norm.
