Last year we made a "Sea Change" and moved from Canberra to a lovely quiet little hide-away on the coast.
Its a very busy busy little town indeed at present, every caravan park, cabin, motel, and possible tent site full to bursting, and the local businesses are making heaps of money. Theres a silver lining, I remind myself as I search for a carpark among the rows of cars not usually seen.... all this is what keeps this little town going, and keeps these businesses open for us full-time residents all year round.
Theres another bonus too.. Mr Whippy comes in the Christmas Holiday! YUM!
To those of you who found a spot to camp near any crowded beach in Australia, congratulations! And thank you.
It wouldn't look like the main street I saw GD. You sound very happy for sure. I hope Mr GD has his toy box sorted out now and those ceiling fans mentioned in a previous post are doing their thing so you can both keep your cool.

Glad you are content and you could always go somewhere else during the busy times and enjoy your tranquility in the quiet times. Have a great new year.
