Mendooran NSW .. for the New Year ..

I like to be away from Parkes before the Elvis Presley Festival starts .. don't get me wrong .. I quite enjoyed the experience here a few years ago, but I'm not really 'ready' for another one just yet ..

Now .. Mendooran Rest Area (443 in Camps 6) I think is a nice spot to 'vegie' out for a few days over the New Year period (maybe a week or so) .. off the road and away from too much hustle and bustle .. after which, via Muswellbrook to Tamworth ..

Decisions .. decisions .. yep .. that'll do me !!

Jon

Don't think to hard Jon, that sounds like work and takes up "vegie" time.

Oh, happy birthday for yeterday as well, I hope you had a good day.

Hello Jon and happy birthday
Mendooran is a great spot to stop for a few days or weeks whatever as the locals want you there
Some good spots by the river, if you are there early enough

Hi Jon, enjoy the peace and serenity of Mendooran when you get there. We have stopped there for a cuppa now and then, when passing through.
Owned a property there in another life, (Pitt st. farmer, more money than sense, now don't have either) the town has never changed, and has great memories for us.

I'll be there early enough John .. so hopefully get a nice spot ..

Quite possibly back down your way after my 'appointment' in Taree which is likely to be around mid Feb or after .. (will advise later)

Merry Christmas to you both ! .. and all the best for the new year ..

'tis a very nice spot, Jon. We had a very relaxing few days there last week (needed a break from house renovations). As a Parkes boy that escaped many years ago (still have family there, including two neices that are involved in organising the festival) I can totally understand where you are coming from, lol. Have a very safe, merry Xmas & a great New Year
