GREENS LAKE, Victoria

smileHi all, this might start a war, BUT, can you or can't you have dogs at Greens lake???? The Camps 6 book says NO, Oz camps says YES, we,ve been there several times and have seen dogs so can someone give us the right answer please, we have friends who want to come and camp with us at the lake and they have 2 dogs, we don't want to do the wrong thing.  We have noticed in the past that the sign on the gate states no motorbikes yet they are there and they stay all weekend without getting told to move on. Anyway dogs YES or NO.

Thanks all in advance

Summers on the way and we're on the move.

Regards

Sue & Steve

A BIG YES Sue and Steve, I have just left there after 3 weeks and dogs were there for that length of time as well so take 'em and enjoy them and the lake.

Why don't you Google it ?    When I did that when people were first talking about using it as a meeting place, I'm sure I remember seeing that dogs were allowed.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Can't find that one now, but if you go back to Page 4 of the "Get-togethers" , you'll find this post from another Forum Member.

"I have just contacted GM Water who look after the lake and they informed me that dogs are allowed but must be under control and picked up after."

Cheers,

Sheba.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I went to the Murray Goulburn website Sheba, they had the usual icons for BBQs, Boat ramp etc but no dog symbol, it was past 5 so I didn't ring. Like I said before the Camps 6 said no dogs could be a typo error.

We'll be there next weekend.

Regards all.

Dogs are fine at Greens, but must be under control. Has to be a mistake in the Camps book.

We spent a couple of weeks there last yr. We have a Jack Russell dog. No problems, we kept him on a lead and cleaned up after him with our little plastic bags.
