Kiwis have made it to Melbourne

Brandt had the bright idea of joining all the batteries together, which meant that we had both caravan batteries and. Oth car batteries connected. Also it was a lovely sunny day, so the solar panels did their bit to help keep the batteries in enough power to get us here. Interesting driving through the tunnel and up over the streets of Melbourne. The down side was the number of times the e-tag went beep! So here we are at Berwick and on Monday our car will once again be checked out and hopefully this time the problem will be sorted!!!

Pity it's not rugby season KR as Storm could have given you a display of how a real team play the game. biggrin

I am glad you made it safe and sound, enjoy it in down town Berwick while you can. I will keep in contact and if you are still there later in the week and I really hope not for your sake I will pop up and say hi. I will be sick of being home by then I reckon.

After my recent trip, I can actually comment on lots of places in Vic now!

The little village of Berwick is such a very nice place, as is Ferntree Gully and the Dandenong Ranges. All very reminicent of NZ actually.

Gee you've had a lot of trouble with that car! Me, I'd be putting a bomb under it! biggrin

Hope you get it sorted so you can continue your trip happily guys - you would enjoy Tassy - some of the best scenery - something different around every corner! Free camping beside Lake King William about 2k from Derwent Bridge - Lake St Clair - magical!

Is it a caravan park you are staying at or the showgrounds, could be heading that way shortly and was wondering what the facilities are like and how long you can stay, thanks in advance for any info you could pass on.

Cheers
