What a great day - set off for Cradle Mountain, and we were almost there when I spotted snow on a lowish mountainside - was very excited, as I knew there would be more at Cradle Mountain itself - a couple of photos for you to marvel at -
We have "snow" here in NQ, Its called "Burdiken snow" - its the soot that falls on your washing after they burn the cane before harvest.Really is good for your whites............Wish I was down there with you. Its 33c here and 70% humidity. Bill
Thank you jules47, makes me a bit home sick. Have not been to the lake for awhile now and it is a great sight to behold. Pease say hello to John. We were camped side by side at Greens Lake recently.

Cradle Mt weather is a law unto itself. Back in my bushwalking days, was stuck in a hut on the Overland Track, because of a blizzard - on New Years Eve!
Jules, I am so envious - as you know we were there on 4 November, on a grey day, the mountain tops were covered in low cloud, would have loved to have seen snow!
