Can't get in by the link. All I can see is what appears to be a google satellite view of the area. When I scroll down I get to see sea and more sea. Can someone give a short account of what happened? (sorry the iPad does funny things at times)

 Map: Cape Patton Lookout

A man is dead and a woman is in a serious condition after their car plunged off a cliff along the Great Ocean Road, east of Apollo Bay, in Victoria's south-west.

Police say the car dropped about 100 metres after it crashed through the guard rail at Cape Patton Lookout at 4:30pm (AEDT) on Saturday.

Emergency crews had to rappel down the cliff to reach the car.

The driver was pronounced dead while rescue crews worked to free the female passenger.

She suffered multiple fractures and has been flown to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.

Latest news report. This death is not being recorded as a road accident statistic. Read between the lines. Very sad, but fortunate insofar as it can be, for the passenger.
