Camps Australia app

Is anyone using the new Camps Australia app,  for Iphone and Ipad . Is it worth the $52 plus extra for updates. Would like to hear from someone that is travelling at the moment and using it. Is it Camps 6 or later.

We are using Wikicamps at the moment.

 thanks

Looks like it is an updated version of Camps 6. Just purchased it and had a look. Very pleased with the app for my iPad, will be very handy. Cheers Glenda.

Hope it works better than the program they supplied to down load onto the Navman - it did not work for me, despite being a compatible model.

Be nice if they brought out an Android app.

Yes brickies I was surprised at the cost. I thought it would have been a bit cheaper. Most expensive app I have purchased. Even our Birding Books are cheaper as apps. Just bit the bullet and bought it, thinking 2 free nights would pay for it. We have camps 4 which has seen better days. Cheers Glenda

Hi Goldcoaster. I have been having fun with the Camps App. Already planning some trips for next year. Took a few minutes to familiarise myself with the layout and applications. Not alot of instructions with it. Our son was also impressed and has bought one. Cheers Glenda

I agree Wiki Camps is great - not always 100% accurate but it is user generated and continuously changing.
The Camps Australia App must have a lot of features to be $17 times the cost.
We use Wiki Camps together with Camps 5 which we make notes in.
It would be great if someone who has both (or at least has seen both) to comment on the differences/similarities.
Cheers
Chris

In downloading wikicamps and using a credit card, has anyone had any probs with google apps? I doubt there is another way of paying for it.

I've used Google Play to purchase apps and paid by visa without any problems.
