Greetings and salutations

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentleman My name is Mick I am 46 my lovely wife of 25yrs Sue is 44, I have been a visitor to this site for the last 3 years jealously watching people making plans and seeking advice for their big trip. Well guess what its our turn the 3 kids have all left home, sold the house and invested the money for a future property we are all tooled up and ready to go .

It has worked out well my wife and I both having a midlife crisis at the same time ,the plan is to head from Wodonga to Gladstone mid Jan 2013 (wrong time to be heading north  we lived in the territory for 4 yr  s  so hopefully will acclimatise quickly) to cash up quickly on one of the mine sites or associated industries in the area stay there till we are ready to move on then we will then point the bullbar north and follow it anticlockwise around the country topping up the funds as we go. Have told the kids not to wait up we will be back home when we arrive.

So if you see a Lotus van around the traps with " She  ll Be Apples " on the back come over for a chinwag and have a brew or beer depending on the time of day. I look forward to meeting up with a lot of you on the road so as to put a face to an avatar.

Cheers

Mick

Welcome Mich and Sue - you will love it out there - may never use that stashed money to buy another property - you might stay on the road forever - like a lot of us are doing, and loving it!!!!
