Settled in at Berwick Showgrounds and thanks for the year.

Arrived at the showgrounds on Friday. Caught up with Kids and grandies today and we will be here for about 9 days before heading to Rye where we set up until about late March when we will be headed for SA for the rest of 2013. If you are in the Melb area at any stage PM us and we try to meet up. We will be headed for Tassy mid Feb for about 3 weeks without the van to catch up with family and friends. THIS YEAR, we have just returned from a 9 month trip thru Vic/NSW/Qld. We've had a great time catching up and making new friends on the road and seeing so much of this wonderful country.  To say our journey has been amazing would be a bit of a under statement. We have learnt so much from people in and outside the Grey Nomad family. To say thanks to you all would overload the web site but there are some who are very special to us and you know who you are. We wish to say thank you for you're support and company especially when we were in Qld. This Grey Nomad family is so very important to us and we all need to embrace it so that we can see and experience the way a community should be. May you enjoy you're Christmas wherever and however you do.  Please stay safe as you travel and while we will basically in the one place for a while we will still be up on the site.  May each one of you know the peace that comes from celebrating the birth of God's Son, Jesus Christ at this Christmas time.

Brian, Cheryl, Angel and Molly

And a happy and blessed Christmas to you both - oh, and Angel and Molly of course - and we really enjoyed meeting up with you both and then hosting you. Enjoy your time with the family and keep in touch.

Hi Nomadic1, its on the south eastern Side of Melb, Berwick showgrounds which is also known as Akoonah park is about two Kms past the Berwick village shopping center headed towards East. It has space for about 20 or so vans but they try to keep it at about 15. The guy to talk to is Graham Bower, mobile 0409195699. The site is basic with hot showers/toilets but within reach of a major shopping center. We use it as our Melb base when we are leaving or returning to Melb as our kids and grandkids are close by. The only thing you need to be aware of is they hold a Sunday market each week and they start setting up about 6 am but you get used to that as its a good market. Trust that helps Brian

Hi Doug, just in case you have forgotten, it's a thing you stand under and get wet even when it's not raining or is it a case of howlong since you had one. Trust all is well at the lakes. On an other note did you get a Pm I sent you about those headlight globes? Take care and travel safe B&C

We had planned to stay at Akoona Park while in Melbourne, but they were booked out. We did go to the markets there though.

I'm not sure about your rig fitting in retiree, but give them a ring. From experience, I would recommend booking ahead.
