The school children have a project where they are seeking people from the same latitude around the world and have messages pegged around the enclosure and ecourage us as travellers to respond.

They supply a small sheet for you to leave the message.

Great little general store along side with a great couple who are happy to help and have a chat.

The local pub also allows camping behind the pub with showers and toilets with meals at night and music on the weekend. I did not see this option till in the morning.

Thanks beiffe, we often travel that way and have wondered what the free camp was like. Yes I suppose we could have stopped but usually on our way back from a long trip. Will put it in the memory banks. Cheers Glenda

I've often stopped in Grong Grong to use the loo but wasn't sure about the parking. Is the free parking on the grass behind the toilets or on the road beside that park??
