Camps6 - NSW site 504. 60km SE of Parks/40km NW of Cowra/55km ESE of Forbes/45km NE of Grenfell. All roads in are sealed and good quality.
A very good camp/park. The sign says three nights only but there were two vans there that had been there for 6 days. They had talked to the "locals" and they had no problem with the extended stay. There is a Post Office/General Store/Newsagency, ULP & Diesel, The Country Club (good chinese tucker including take-away) and of course the pub.
Power for donation (only four points so first in best dressed), flushing toilets, hot showers, one townwater tap with good water.
We have just stayed at Gooloogong and it's a great little spot. Local shopkeeper is very happy to see people staying. There is a donation box and it's good to give a bit in return for free power and hot shower (even though it says it is free) - plus spend some money in the town.
We didn't get a powered site (too late at 11.30am but next day would have been OK) but there are now 8 power points. There were a group of fruit pickers in tents when we were there and they had got special permission from Cowra Council to stay for 8 weeks. They were no problem as they were up at crack of dawn and in bed early!!!
