jimbo - As of now it is $29 "off peak" (powered site, $22 unpowered) then shoots up from there on their shoulder & peak times but would say that by around Jan 2013 the cheapest will probably be $31 "off peak" with a corresponding increase in shoulder & peak times. Have been going there for years from back when it was $15 pn - powered site. They have made so called improvements in that period but it still has the same toilet block from back then, but was always clean & they also added 6 ensuite sites that "were $5 extra" per night when first completed but they now charge $45 per night (off peak) for these - good sites but forget it at that price! There are also the usual cabins now added as well & a new managers residence & just lately a new camp kitchen & some site slabs which are probably the only "real" improvements to benefit the caravaners, campers etc.
As we are on a limited budget (as are a lot of others) we have since looked for cheaper & just as good CV parks & increasingly free camping, as all these "North Coast Parks" on crown land on the north coast are controlled by the same management company their prices all go up together. So we have not been there for over 12 months now & have looked around & found some cheaper "independent" parks to stay at, although not on the beach, but that doesn't worry us.
As of July 2018 it is now a minimum of $40 per night for a powered site & $30 for an unpowered site with ensuite sites now starting at $54, (when first installed were $5 more than a powered site), all these off peak charges, a great park, sadly becoming unaffordable as is their other parks by corporate greed. I have been told that they are now about to install yet more cabins & a fence of some sort (hopefully not like the 3 meter one they installed at their Coffs Harbour park) around the whole park or maybe just to separate the park from what's left of the pubic area?
