G'day wombat, I haven't noticed a recommendation to keep away from wombat in NSW, it could be a bit hairy there. smile

Sorry to stray form topic Margraret.

Sounds a very nice spot Margraret, I will have to google it myself and find where it actually is.

Sounds like a good spot - put it in "recommendations", then it won't get lost, Margaret - and a good way to find spots to go as well.

If in the area of Corindi/Yamba try Woody Head (just north of Yamba), it is one of the best places on the coast. The cost is a bit high for a non powered site but has showers & loo's and a magnificent position so is well worth it.(check in Camps 6 book)

There is a nice caravan park right on the beach in the heart of Woolgoolga which is a small seaside village with all amenities and a 20min drive to Coffs Harbour. It is a slightly unusual town because of its large Indian presence due to many banana and blueberry plantations in the area being owned by indians. It gets very popular during peek seasons but is great all times of the year.

Mooney Beach Caravan park is also in a great spot with a tidal lagoon and beach. Great spot to run your dogs.

Cheers

Jon

If you are heading south try the Gumma reserve on the river at Macksville, just down stream of the town.

We are 45mins south of there.

Thanks so much Ron.  The trip was okay but I must tell you that Ray miscalculated the garage petrol pumps and scraped/dented the side of our van.nonono  I almost cried when I saw itcrycry

I am still shaking my head over it three weeks later.

Might look into seeking our Corindi Beach caravan Park for a trip away around the new year perhaps.

I didn't know Tom was fooling around brickies, thanks for the info.

I just checked back to see what the original post was and agree 100% Margraret, google is good for checking maps and I like Google Earth as well for similar checks.

Good post Margraret.

Its approx half way between Grafton & Coffs Harbour.Red Rock is beside it as well with a park, right on the beach & a creek entrance, VG.

Margaret I looked up on the net and they are expensive aren't they?  Or did you not think so?  The place does look amazing though and if I could see dolphins at play then that would make my day.

Dazren you are right on the money with your comment winkwinkbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Sorry Margaret that was off topic a little bit there, my apologies to you.
