Milo! I don't think many Aussie take to Halloween they did a pole on it down here and out of a 1000 people 98% thought it not to be of Interest in this Country... What do you think?

well i see it as more for the kids, but i also think its more US thing but also feel that kids need to be with a trust worthy adult , too many nutters out there were going to be doing more out side broadcasts to try and get more exposure for the station
Actually it is another thing the Yanks have tried to make their own. It's origins are European and has roots back to the Celtic celebration of Samhain.
In our town the whole thing has degenerated into kids begging for lollies.....
Terrible activity, teaching kids to knock on strangers doors, and expecting people inside to open up to strangers, and I agree it is begging......started years ago being pushed by pre schools, kinders and children's librarian's...that's my rant...

OBs are a good way to promote a station as well as a sponsor's products and services. Linking an OB to an event gives it a theme. OBs provide an opportunity to have face to face contact between the audience and the presenters as only radio can.
