Just arrived back at Burrum Heads after six months on the road doing the lap clockwise around the best land on the planet. Couple of months helping the kids and new grandkids in Perth area with numerous trips around the southern areas and then onto the Northern areas to Broome.
It saddens me to report that the roads were brilliant all the way around until I got back to Queensland and close to Rockhampton. Road works all the way home from there with the remaining highway rough as guts.
Enjoyed all areas with a special soft spot for the Nullabour Plains (did I spell that right?).
Back now the grind of playing golf, fishing and gardening at home. Someone has to do it.
Planning our next trip back to Perth anticlockwise.
Agree with you about the roads but have been informed that WA/NT roads do not need as much upkeep as ours because they have a much better foundation to start with & do not get the rain damage we get. Maybe?
