It's been a full on couple of weeks, and I'm thankful for the moment that we can catch our breathes.
'The Beast' is going well, and has clocked up plenty of K's of late running backwards and forwards to the home to see my mother.
Plenty of hot water with a new solar hot water system.
And Mum ........ well, it would appear (without confirmation) that she could have had a TIA (mini stroke), and true to form (her way!) she is still 'hanging in there' for a little while longer. To say it created problems would be an understatement, with a couple of family members creating havoc, so much so that we felt the need to contact our solicitor - not real good!
Ah well, we thoroughly enjoyed a visit from our 19 mth old grandson from Tsv - now I need a 'nanny nap' to recover, and start planning for our trip north at Christmas (hopefully). The biggest surprise that our daughter & s-i-l have invited us to put our van in their backyard! In all the trips north we have done, never have we had this offer! Guess miracles do happen!!
Oh, then last week, Energex came and said that the wire from the house to the pole needed to be replaced, apparently when we had the roof redone about 5 yrs ago, and it was replaced, they used a Chinese cable and it is deteriorating and Energex now has to go around and replace it all - how's that for cost cutting? No wonder we need a break, but still feel we should stay 'grounded' for the time being. Our time will come.

That Mum of yours... what can you say! My very best wishes June. I'll bet you are looking forward to Christmas now, gives you something to plan while you are grounded. Have a great trip!!
