It won't work Lorraine. As it is not a formal get together the nomads prefer to come and go as they please.

We didn't have any planned agenda for the time there, just a very relaxing time had by all.

I hear some will be there by next week.

Can someone tell us if there is an official start date for the greens lake get together, so people can plan their journey.

In that case I think the official start date should be Melbourne Cup weekend every year. That way there is no confusion.

An "official date" sounds too much like organised for me.
I retired to get away from organised.
We were maybe heading forGreens Lake today, but like it here in Deniliquin, and have decided to stay here for a few more days by the river. We might wander down to the family in Melbourne for a bit, and might maybe call into GL on the way north again.
We might even go to the Cup if the notion takes me.
Now, if I am "expected" or "booked" for an "official" function someplace, it ain't gonna happen.
I like the "get there when you get there"idea, and anytime late Oct or early Nov sounds like a plan to me.

I arrived here an hour ago at Greens...have seen a couple of dogs in the location, so all seems OK except for some ignorants as is usual found min any location and dog running free.  Hasn't bothered me so all seems fine.

Yes Marj have arrived and spent the afternoon setting up, am camped by the boat ramp. Have set up the annex and added the walls have even got the shower ensuite up.

Expect to be here for a while, tomorrow will go for a walk asking the campers if they belong to our forum.
